But i have been looking on the internet and havent found many pics of this bodystyle of 4runner lifted so i was just wonderin if you guys could post some pics so i can get some ideas and any comments you wanna tell me about lifting it i would appreciate. thanks

well im not going to be doing like all out rock crawling or anything cause it is going to be my daily driver but i do wanna be able to go out wheelin in it and not have to worry about stuff breakin, so i do want a kit thats gonna last when i go wheelin on the weekends.
And your 4runner is really nice i would love to be able to do that to mine but i dont quite have enough for an sas. How are the mt/r's workin out for you, i was thinkin of goin with the mt/r, toyo mt, or bfg muds i also like the nitto's a lot but a little expensive.

also if it helps at all i have almost $3000 to spend but thats for tires and lift. so i am probably going to have to ride around on stock gears for a little bit until i can save some more.

Don't waste your $$ on an IFS lift. If you want to run 35's, go with a 3" body lift, 1.5" balljoint spacers in the front, and either spacers or longer coils in the rear. You may have to do a little fender trimming or pounding, but it'll be alot less tippy than with a 4" IFS lift, and you can use the money you save for gears since it'll be a dog and get terrible gas mileage with 35's and stock gearing. Just my opinon! For pics, check out cardomain.com. Sherri has one of the nicest looking "blingy" 2nd gen 4runners I've seen: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/236023

SAS. All I have to say. IFS isn't even for women. Trying to get my girl into a Jeep with D35/D30's. IFS blows.. a joke.

Getting the Wheeling Fever

The setup I run consists of a 2" 4-Crawler body lift (around $200 w/ poly bushings and assorted brackets), 2" Rancho add-a-leaf (done by previous owner to get rid of rear end sag), and 33x12.50s on 15x10 rims. It has proven to be a very capable setup. I just added a rear aussie locker this last weekend and it is quite a world of difference. Plus, it hardly makes any noise. I would have to say that if you are going to daily drive your truck this would be a good setup. If you have some extra cash you might want to thow down on a selectable locker to save your tires a little bit. I don't think it is necessary to put 1,000+ dollars into an IFS lift kit that won't give you much more of an advantage. It's really easy to build a DD/expedition truck for not a whole lot of money. (Sorry the pics I'm posting are a 1st gen. but it will give you an idea of the setup and what it can do.) ![[Linked Image]](http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/973/pics1744mr.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/2957/pics1639ky.jpg)

IFS blows.. a joke. right on dude- way to be ignorant! you dont even know what he is going to be using the truck for! if he is using it in the rocks and slow idle-speed crawling- youre right ifs sucks- but, if he plans on using it in any high speed off roading- the solid axle would SUCK! ive owned several of both and toyota makes a bulletproof ifs front end that can handle mad punishment and a nice ride at high speeds- which a solid axle cannot- just another opinion.
