This is 'somewhat' non-Isuzu related, but I saw this "Runt" on the road the other day here in Salt Lake and thought is was too cool and had to share it with the board. You can see the Runt and sister Grunt Tatonka (not affiliated in any way, yada, yada...) (Sorry for the HUGE image size, but I didn't know how to reduce it.) **EDIT** See the re-sized image below ....

Thanks Smiley and Steve!!
I did find a 'little' more info on this guy ...
The 'Runt' is a $5K kit based on a Chebby S-10 frame and drivetrain. The guy I spoke with indicated that most customers get the install done for about $13K.
The 'Grunt' (not pictured here) is a complete 'turn-key' product produced exclusively by Tatonka on a limited basis (again - no affiliation, etc, etc...). Only 200 will be built and only 10 will be sold in Utah (of which four have been sold already and one of which I saw on the street). Asking price is $55K
As an aside and to keep this somewhat Isuzu related, I did suggest to the gentlemen I spoke with that they should re-engineer the 'Runt' based on an Amigo or Rodeo frame and drivetrain - much more bomb-proof!! Plus, I'd like to see a 'Powered by Isuzu' sticker on it somewhere!

Well I have seen one around town too, and let me tell you, these are no pocket rocket. although based on the S-10 frame, these are big trucks, and appear to more closely sized to the K5. Overall height is close to 7', width is probably in the area of full size axles. If it weren't for them being fiberglass, they would be HEAVY. They are very different, and grab attention. What I always liked about them is that unlike the Bummer, they aren't an imitation of any truck, but their own uniqe creation.....much like many of our own Zu's(topic relative ) Steve

If it weren't for them being fiberglass, they would be HEAVY. Fiberglas is _light_ ? Lighter then if it were steel. I don't think there is a big subframe, like the old Fiberglass cars had(Fiero, Corvette) but more of just large molded pieces (Like the Jeep 1 piece hoods) Much lighter then steel of the same size/shape. I thought the same thing! I'd love to have a solid axle 4x4 that'll hold my family and run on biodiesel wihout breaking the bank with the initial purchase cost. Think something like a hardtop four-door Wrangler (sorry) and you've got the picture. I'd even "settle" for a TD'ed Rodeo, even though it has IFS.
