Yeah, but I run 33x12.5 Pro Comps with my 22RE and stock gearing. I still get 19-20mpg. I don't know many 3.0's that can boast those numbers. If they can, chime in! I had the option of buying a cheap 4Runner is really good shape, but ended up walking away because it had the 3.0. There's nothing WRONG with the engine (besides the recall and gas mileage), but personally, I'd stick with the 4 banger for its added reliability.
