Stock size is listed on the driver's side door jamb, usually list 225-75R15, or about 28":

The computer could care less on tire size, but the engine will run better (more power and MPG) with near the factory gearing for the larger tires. Simple formula is old_gear_ratio * (new_tire_dia/old_tire_dia) = new_gear_ratio
