A month or so ago someone here was putting together a letter to send to Isuzu in Japan, inquiring about real (not rebadged) and diesel Isuzu's being brought to the USA.

I wrote one of my own, and sent it to Isuzu Motors of America. Today, I received the following reply:

Thank you for your letter regarding your interest in a diesel powered Isuzu, and rebadged GMC vehicles.

We want to let you know how much we appreciate your taking your time to write us and inform us of your confidence in what we believe to be a fine product.

Unfortunately, American Isuzu Motors Inc. no longer distributes diesel sport utility vehicles in the US, nor do we produce vehicles in Japan that are sent to the US. We have no plans to introduce either vehicle again.
