Brian, for what it's worth, my 1995 v6 was not covered in the v06 campagin and I have not had any problems related to the engine. On the other hand, my brother has a 93 that had the campagin done and then needed another HG recently. I've heard all sorts of excuses as to why the HGs fail, from bad material used to being folded and stapled in the parts department.

Lots of people love to bash the engine b/c it is "weak" and "slow" - in my opinion it hauls a half ton in the bed just fine, and has torque all day in the woods. If you want a faster vehicle get a car - that's what I did.
