Call any Toyota dealer, ask about the headgasket recall for the Toyota V-6 and ask them to run your VIN number to see if the recall applies to your truck and if so, if it was ever done.

It's debatable whether the recall is still in effect. I've heard both ways. There is a brand new recall on the steering rod, so you might as well get that done.
