Body Damage is Cool

? IT seems like it would but you on top of a compact car if you accidentaly rear ended it.
Even w/o the stinger, the Don would shred a small car anyway. Then again when I lived in VA Beach, I saw an 18wheeler hit a Metro from behind. I saw the Geo fly by the 18 wheeler in the left lane and try to cut in front of the rig. The traffic was stopped up ahead and the little geo slammed brakes, the truch went over it until the Geo was under the trailer dollies. When traffic stopped I was 30yards from the car. CPR wasn't even an afterthough. Point is, the 18wheeler did not have a stinger. I doubt the stinger will have much of an effect.

bOURGE, I get at least half of the commission. It's my bumper.
Don bumper will do damage to a small compact car. I can prove it. Another post on that.
I think with a couple of small changes the bumper would work great with a gen2. The mounting holes would have to be drilled different than the gen1. But Don ships them without the holes. Don, if you need me to put the bumper back up to the gen2 and take a lot of detailed pics i can. I might be able to do it tomorrow. PM me with exactly what you want in the pics. We can take measurements too. I am leaving for NOLA sometime. Waiting on tires from Capncrunch (sp?) in CO.

Awesome work! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.fivethirty.com/images/jump.gif) That stinger has gears turning in my head (hmmm...I might want to do that to my don). Waiting on tires from Capncrunch (sp?) in CO. Still haven't got 'em yet Sparky? They were supposed to be there today. Must be a storm-related delay.

If I was going to do the stinger again, I would do it smaller. It is alittle big for the truck. Maybe something like the Warn Jeep Wrangler Rock bumper. If I had some 35s it would be cooler.
No tires today, I tracked them again and it says tomorrow.

That is F'ing awesome how well that fit onto the Gen2, only thing that would look better is if the bars were slightly shorter so it would not be a gut buster trying to work on engine.

Sparkem,
If it's just the mounting holes, there's no problem.
The critical distance is the one between the mounting surfaces. If that fit, then the rest is easy. Vertical position is decided by the installer, where the holes are drilled sets the height.
How's the front curved brush bars fit the GenII shape? From the pics it looks ok.
And obviously it will fit with a winch as yours is already on there.
If you can gat a pic of anything that needs/should change, that would help. But again, the critical # is the distance between the mounting plates.
Thanks for the help guys.

The distance between the frame rails are the same. I have a couple suggestions for changes to fit the gen2 better. I will address those when we do the mock up again. I will get pics of everything.

I'm still up to my armpits in the 4.3 swap, lots of little details still, though it's fun to drive it now, too. Gimme a few more weeks... See this is why I blame Don for making me buy my Chevelle. If he had made me my bumpers when I was trying to get him to I would not have had the money for the Chevelle.
