it's not a hard job at all...a bit time consuming, but not difficult.

here is another great step-by-step write-up on doing the job (by 4crawler).

i suggest getting the kit with the steel-backed driver's side guide from engnbldr.

also, do a search on this forum for +22RE +timing +chain and you will get all kinds of info.
