I use this one: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/index.shtml#Thermostat

I got a spare one a few years ago, and not only did my dealer have it in stock, but they also knew what it was for when I asked for the part number.

just get the regular one and drill a little hole in the flange...accomplishes the same thing.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I just went to a toyota dealer for a therm about 2 weeks ago. They had the 2 stage unit in stock, but it cost about $30, where as the single valve was $16. If you get the single stage and drill a hole, just make sure that you only go 1/16" as 4crawler's write up recommends. I made the mistake of drilling a hole too large on a perfectly good t-stat and my engine ran too cool and took forever to warm up.

Roll Me Over
I'm running a NAPA 180 degree with a hole drilled in the flange. Works great.

Wow, you're way up there. I used to be stationed near Oscoda at Wurtsmith back in the day. Eastern winters suk!! Way too much humidity.

I run a Yota or NAPA 195, yep 1/16" hole for the temp overshoot. Toss an extry behind the seat.
