Just noticed this on Toyota's website.

2006 Rav4:
3.5-liter V6 with dual VVT-i
Horsepower: 268
Torque: 246 lb.-ft. @ 4000 rpm

2005 4Runner:
4.0-liter DOHC 24-valve EFI VVT-i V6
236 hp @ 5200 rpm/266 lb.-ft. @ 4000 rpm

That's quite a big difference. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> The new Rav4 is supposed to be a bit larger than the previous one, but will still fit in the small SUV category. Here's the link:

I wonder if the 4Runner will be getting a different V6 soon, or perhaps a freshening? The 4Runner still has more torque, which it needs. But I still just found these numbers to be suprising. (It also now blows the Highlander's power numbers out the door, too).
