Long-time no post; here is some news to me that may or may not be for others:

Holley is no longer producing the 3210 TBI replacement many of us use on 2.8-3.4L Chevy V6s. This is the claim of all Holley dealers I have spoken with.

Holley Tech (after a 20min wait) told me they do not offer injector replacements for the 3210 (I did not learn of no TBI's until my calls later to dealers).

Holley does offer an upgrade kit, giving you a new "pot" that swaps out to hold the new injectors (figure $80 from what I found as a good price), and injectors for $85/ea. They claim these are much better than the old ones. How? He was not real specific, but alluded to efficiency, etc.

I got to these questions by finding one of my injectors is only intermittantly spraying. Cleaner has not solved it. I was going to do a cleaning service, but learned of the above issue and figured I better upgrade in hopes the replacements will last another 6-8yr or more.

Should a guy buy extras? Not sure. Am I way wrong and can anyone tell of a source for the TBI's new? I was told by Holley that it as 1-1.5yr ago that they did the upgraded injectors (he made it sound like they still offered the 3210, and the web site still shows it).

Cheers,
WomBAT Man

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I put the Holley on my first 2.8L trooper. After the year was up the injectors quit working. tried to clean them no help. I did a mod and put the old Rochester injection unit on top. When I came across a 4.3L unit I went Rochester all the way. With the thousands of miles my family has put on 4 2.8L Troopers the Rochester units have never let us down. Also had a problem with the Holley sticking off idle, could never adjust it out.

BTW, the Holley parts info is:

Upgrade kit: Part 534-170
http://www.holley.com/products.asp?product=534-170

Injector: Part 522-43
http://www.holley.com/products.asp?product=522-43

I put in an inquiry to Holley to see if the discontinuation the dealers mentioned is accurate.

I added the Holley upgrade kit (pot, wire and 2 injectors) spec'd for the 3210. It has yet to work. Next step is cleaning and reinstalling the orig Holley injectors/pot.

Anyone done the upgrade and had luck? Anyone know of a source for the orig Holley injectors?

If this keeps up I'll be searching for an Astro tbi and someone's old writeup on installing it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Oh, and 'howdy' to all ya'll. Been a while.

Hey guys junk the Holley or make it into a boat anchor. I have found just the thing. R.V. Morse in California does a complete flow job on 4.3 TBI's. The flowed TBI with regulator and guage built in sells for $60.00 less than the Holley. He gets 10 to 15 % better flow than a stock 4.3 and it comes back just as pretty as the Holley.JMHO

P.S I can give the phone # to anyone interested.

Hi Matt. It was the Holley tech guys who told me this. I wonder if the units you are getting are coming w/ the new injectors? He did not say the 3210 isn't avail, just that replacement injectors were not. Lemme know if you find out otherwise. I should get my cleaned injectors back from Witchhunter.com today (nice name, eh?). Hope this solves it.

As for the Holley as a boat anchor, I suppose it has good capacity to snag on the lake bottom. Given the $ for the "upgrade" Holley injectors and now the cleaning I am hesitant to head off in a new direction/cost just yet. But thanks for the info. Maybe I'll check local yards for 4.3tbi just in case.

Randii, how goes it? Got that Ford-powered Migo rolling yet?
