Here's the deal greyscar. He is angry that someone burnt his clutch out. He is venting at a particular person who might deserve it. Yes it could have been phrased better, but is this generally insulting to any group of non-deserving people?

Is this?

Do you get my drift? Yes his post is on the edge of censorship, but he hasn't directly tried insulting an entire group of people in a prejudicial manner. If you really think our rules are to difficult go over to pirate 4x4. They roast everybody and don't care if they are insulting. These forums are for the people who don't want to have to have a personal battle every time they ask a question. We want this site for a 16 year old girl who just got her first jeep to come for advice. Not be ridiculed away because she doesn't know what an axle is or which direction is loosen. Right at the beginning of the FAQ I posted in the tech section I directly copied and pasted 4x4wire's rules regarding forum usage.

If this post does start attracting unwanted attention IÆll just remove it.

Confucius say never loan your ride or girlfriend to another man for as sure as the sun rises in the east he will throw a rod in them.

One day when I'm older and wiser I'll understand his argument, I hope. Till then only my best most trusted friends touch my stuff.

Thats too bad he did that to your machine Sunder, but you may never understand his crap arguement. If he had the balls to cheep out on you citing he has no responsibility cause you let him ride it, he's not your friend. This goes for you too 81. Theres no dishonor in being "that guy" who dosen't let any one ride/drive his toys, theres just to much at stake. I have an enormus amount of pride invested in my rides, weather it's a rusty 4 runner or shiny well built Jeep, no one has to maintain them but ME.

well said man, well said, believe me i also have a lot of pride in what ido and i hate it when people F&%K it up when they want to do it, or try it, i have 3 other cars that i have fully restored and noeone, ane i mean noone is allowed to touch them, even my insurence agent, a good friend of mine wants to take them out for a spin and i just look at him and laugh my A#$ off

Ok so the old guy will tell a story on himself.. When I was in High School I had a 51 Mercury. A guy up the road a peice had a 50 Ford. We raced home almost side by side EVERY day!
One Sat night we both showed up at a party and got REAL drunk on Moonshine. I asked if I could drive his car, just to try it out. He agreed and I went out on the road and ran the $hit out of it. Of course it was 3 on the tree as mine was.. I made a fast shift from 1st to 2ed and popped the clutch... I have always beleived I had it in reverse... but anyway there went the tranny!
I walked back to the party and told the guy I was sorry and who did he want to repair it? He told me and the next day I towed it and left it at the mechanic for him to repair on Monday. The guy got it back on Thursday and I paid the bill. It cost $37.00 to repair and that was two weeks of what I was earinig in High School...BUT I paid up!
That is the way things are supposed to work!

One lesson learned: Don't treat someone elses property like it is yours, treat it like it is theirs. One lesson taught: Stand TALL and pay for what you done. Your a good man Jim and I love your shop except for one minor detail. Remove that stuff hanging from your wiring and sheetrock the area. Man, I have always wanted a shop like that. I love woodworking.

Howdy Goose
I wired it myself and from time to time I ADD more wires as required. Sheetrock is out of the question. I can just imagine the greasy hand prints all over the walls..besides that what could I hang on the stuff? As it is now I can move stuff around and hang whatever I wish anywhere.
I don't think there is a good picture of one of the walls with all the ladders and two racks of stock iron hanging on the walls.. Naaaahh I like my wood walls.
