My opinion is that you don't need to do the flip. I don't know of too many people that have on 2GEN amigos or rodeos.

The rack really is the weak point once you start to go to larger tires, even without flipping the balljoints. I ran mine for 5+ years on 32s and 33s with just the simple torsion bar crank, and never had a failure...until I tried a trail that was slightly harder than I should have been on <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
