Rodeo Guy - You got the tire size right. It's a little tired and I'm a little late... or something. Anyway, I don't know if I want to hack up my fender wells to get those tires to fit. I'll have to do some more looking at the link you posted and study my truck some more. Thanks for the help.

What rims are you running on your rig Jon? I'm not sure if you remember me or my rig from our meet and greet awhile back but I still have my 245/75/r16 Dueler Revos and because of the offset on my aftermarket rims I had to ditch the flaps and do a little trimming/bending to metal, not just some plastic to get rid of the rubbing with the same lift as you now have. I am going to be in the market for some new rims and tires next spring so let us know how it goes.

265x75x16 fit great go to my cardomain site......link at bottom of the post. There is an article with pics on how to trim fenders. It is almost invisible........the same basic trim has been done on 5 2nd gens and it looks good.

Don't trade those tires for smaller yet.......also search for the OME 929 install on my rodeo it has the same fender trimming and there should be picks of mine w/265x75-16 on there.

I just don't know that I want to hack up my fender to get these things to work, especially when I could probably drop to 255s and have everything work fine.

I'm still thinking about what to do...

EDIT: I guess part of my reluctance stems from the fact that, while I've worked on various vehicles before, I've never cut up the sheet metal. Perhaps if someone with the requisite knowledge, tool(s) - just a cutoff wheel, right? - and skill were willing to donate some time and knowledge, I could be persuaded to consider this task...

I mean, really, how complicated is this? Is it something we could do in a few minutes' time in a parking lot at a get together, or is it something that would put my truck out of commission for a few hours, a day, more?

Alright, I've thought about it all day and I guess I'm going to try the fender mods on my truck. It isn't every day that I get the chance to install a set of tires like I have stacked up in my garage, so I'm going for it.

Any words of wisdom before I begin this project? I'm probbly going to try to tackle it on Saturday evening...

not sure what I am doing on Saturday night, Dakota Ridge has a football game from 2 - 4 or so. Try posting on the trailseekers list at yahoo groups and see if anyone can help. I could probably break away for an hour or so, and that's really about all the time it will take.

Thanks - that's very kind of you, but I don't know any of you guys well enough that I'd want to impose upon you, especially on a Saturday night.

I think I'll give it a go by myself once my son goes to bed. My wife and daughter will be out, so I'll have the place to myself. A few beers - not too many, for obvious reason - a few new cutoff wheels, and some time should be all I need to get it done. After looking at Bansil's pictorial site, I think I can probably handle it.

Pics when I'm finished...

I finished beating the crap out of my fenders and got the tires mounted. My black Rodeo now sits atop some Goodyear Wrangler MTRs (2 of which need to be replaced very, very soon - anyone have any connections for tires?) with black rockcrawler wheels. Looks good...

Anyway, I took a couple of pics, but have no place to post 'em. Anybody have some server space they wanna share with me?

Flipped the ball joints on my 2000 Amigo, no problems. OEM 919Æs on the back and torque bars cranked on the front. 2.5ö to 3ö lift

Did not flip them on my 2000 Rodeo, OME 912Æs on the back, T-bar crank and no problems. 2.5ö to 3ö lift also.

Your choice, although with the Amigo I think it needed the flip. I was told the 919Æs on the Amigo would not be a good choice, wrong, love the nice stiff ride and can take highway dips that bottom out most autos.

No leaks on anything on either vehicle.

'94, and '00 Amigos and '00, 01 Rodeos. Rodeo springs and aftermarket 'hard top on 94. Aisin hubs OME 919's on the 2000 Amigo. 2000 and 2001 Rodeos have OME 912's and Aisin. Smoother ride with the OME 919's???
