NC 4X Question #654759 10/10/05 04:28 AM

Its been tooo long since I've posted in here. The Rodeo has been resting in a quiet storage tomb while I've been relocating to NC. I'm getting ready to take a week vacation to "remodel" the Rodeo for some fun in Uwharrie. I don't want to inadvertantly turn the ole girl into a trailer queen (I hear NC requires inspections)!! Anyone have any FYIs on what to watch out for w/ this? I'm thinking seriously about attempting a SAS & fabbing a winch bumper.. I noticed a nice crawler being trailered down I40 today.. It would prob be streetable in SC (If it rolls they tag & tax it!)

where are you moving to? I know there are good Isuzu people around Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, and Greenville.

I don't know all the laws, but depending on where you are (and who you know, sometimes) you shouldn't have a problem. I have seen some super ghetto stuff driving around "legally".

Also, check out nc4x4.com. I'm sure w/ a little searching you can find some answers to your questions.

You can get some close up looks at it during Uwharrie... its actually a 1st generation DOR bumper. ALso meet Joe (from DOR) at Uwharrie as well. Obvisously, its gone through a few alterations since Joe shipped it out his door many years ago, but the design is his.

If you check my website, you can also see an orginal design I did for my girlfriend's '89 Trooper RS.

I spent about an hour looking at your website this morning.. looked like a buncha NASA engineers! Found the info on DOR & have their number. I'll follow the link over to the trail sticky. Will plan on gettin there one way or another . I took it up trail two on Tellico last year.. did'nt attempt the rock garden. The IFS works great.. until it explodes!
