Hey guys!
I finally got my gen3 off-roading. (Now that my 1996 Gen2 is out of order; needs an overhaul). I'm slowly taking this one off-roading. Got a few scratch here and there but so far...so good.!...here's some pics.

This was his first mud

My cousin's H2 and my 96 gen2 (by the way...my stock gen3 out climb it)

By the way...that's a custom made roof rack i got from ebay. Some dude from phoenix was building and selling it.

Plus...I just ordered the lift kit from ARBUSA..they said it should give another 2 inch lift.

Okay guys...that's all for now....
My next mod would be:
ARB Bull bar
Warn winch
Rock Sliders

Lates,
Sgbenz

I was about to say the same thing. Thats one of the main reason I stayed away from a Hi-lift at first cause I didnt have anything to really lift it from. Too much plastic at the time so it was pointless.

But still looks good. Hopefully you'll get some steel bumpers made up soon for the GenIII

Good luck,
Angelo

They already have some arb bumpers for it...just have to get one soon! I called arb usa and they gave me the part number for it, and 4wheel parts have it in stock. About the rock sliders..i know someone that can custom make one that can go under the side steps. You can't really see it from the side but..it will reinforce the side panels. That should actually enables me to lift the truck with the hi-lift jack.

i never have been to keen on the looks of the gen III's... something about the front fenders that bother me i think. but i gotta admit, yours looks pretty dam good... me thinks im having a change or heart. i probably used to think the way i did, because around here i have yet to see one that on its way to being yoked out much less even a dirty one, they all seem to be driven by suits or soccer moms. yours should look sweet once you get that lift on it... props on your gen III .

Well...not too many gen3 owners takes their truck wheeling. I think they should start....hey..its a freakin' montero with a bigger engine. Just need a little mods and you have a one mean machine. I even out climb my cousin's H2 in Hungry Valley.lol

peace!

I think a Gen 3 makes a fine wheeling machine! It will look great with The ARB bumper and a snorkel
