I've been scouring the web for a replacement EGR tube, and haven't had any luck. I replaced my stock exhaust manifold with some Borla headers. Install went great, but the EGR tube is heat welded to my exhaust manifold, not to mention I'm not sure it'll fit between the headers and the intake (looks about right, but I could be wrong).
Does anyone know of a place I can get a new one? Hopefully a flexible one. Or should I replace it with some sort of threaded pipe on each side with some high-temp rubber tubing between?

Confused... are you talking about that bent tube with the screw-in ends that goes from the exhaust to the intake? If you are, it isn't welded in, normally.... I had a hell of a time trying to get one to line back up in a friends CJ, same year as yours.... I tried everything to get both ends to line up and actually thread... lost a good bit of skin, some blood, wow, what a pain.... I did have to use one specialty tool. If you don't have any "crow's foot" wrenches, you will need at least one for this job.... The one on Betsy's was a 1 inch.... What I'm talking about is the tube in the picture that comes out of the bottom of the intake....

Yup, that's the tube I'm talking about. But when I say welded, I mean heat welded (aka stuck). I've tried about all I can do, thrown lots of tools at it, and all that's happened is my once hexagonally shaped nut is now round. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
So anyways, I'd like to order a flexible one in case an identical OEM one wouldn't fit between my Borla headers and the intake, or make my own if I have no other choice.

I used to have a handfull of them things... I will look but I think I have thrown them all away!
Anyway eBay should be a good place to ASK advertisers if they have one to sell!

Are those pipe threads, if so the part would easily be fabbed. heat will brake it loose, MAPP or oxy. accet.
Heat stuck it , heat will break it loose. When you start typing something why does your brain go stupid on spelling.

I've thought about torching it, I might try that tonight, I'll just have to go buy a torch since 95% of my stuff is in storage (closing on a house right now). It should be pretty easy, especially since the exhaust manifold it's stuck to is going unused right now.

As for e-bay, I would, but as I mentioned above, I'm not that sure the stock one will fit between the Borla headers and my intake. I'd really like to get the stock one off to at least check first. I'm just kinda surprised that nobody knows of a place to get either a new one or a new flexible one. Don't you hate how some parts are in over-abundance, and other ones are virtually non-existent?

My other thought was just to go get something fab'd... I know it's kinda expensive, but I'd get something good quality that'll last.

I had a very similar issue on my CJ as well with borla headers. I found a replacement at the dealer for mucho dinero. Since their was no guarantee that the new one would fit, I ended up saying F it, and plugging the holes with bolts.
