Well, I got it out, cleaned up and back in. I ended up undoing the three mounts and removing the front crossmember that the front mount bolts to. This allowed the diff to be lowered enough that the pan just falls out after the strainer clears the baffels in the bottom of the pan. Installation was just the opposite. Luckly Utah is basically a desert, very little rust on anything. There was a lot of the timing chain guide in there!
