I'm installing a new timing chain set with the metal guide. The bolts for the stock plastic guide have an unthreaded shoulder, larger diameter than the threaded part, that goes through the thick plastic guide. Do I need new bolts for the new metal guide since its a lot thinner and the mount holes are only large enough for the threaded part of the bolt to go through? I have it bolted up with the original bolts and it seems to hold fine. Any ideas?
