Getting the Wheeling Fever

Hello, I found this post regarding factory alarm system. I have keyless entry but I'm not sure if the alarm system is an easy install or does the dealer need to install it. Perhaps an aftermarket would be better/cheaper? (the "horror stories" concern me)Thanks.
