Sinece I am one of the unfortunats to ha ve also an OBD1 car. Kia has a scaner that doew not only puls the truble code byt also can remain connected ad give readings through a test drive. Carefull they have 2, one red one yellow ( that is a mode advanced scaner), this is the one. Mind you ONLY kia haw that scanned AFAIK and you can not find it unles you buy it from KIA for big big big bucks round 2.500$ if i remember correctly from the kiatechinfo site when it was free
