Quite a size increase in the openings and flapper size on the Supra AFM. Did you get yours out of an early '82 or did you swap electronics?

what kind of gains do you suspect you got out of that? noticeable difference?


87 22R PU, 2? body lift, 33? BFG muds, 4.88's, F&R Lock-Rights, Rancho Shocks, EB's Street RV Head w/ 268 Cam, LCE Header, 2" to 2 1/4" exhaust, Flowmaster 50 series, Magnaflow high flow cat, complete Herculined SR5 interior, V6 BB, MC, and calipers.

i asked about the Supra swap at one point and no one knew what i was talking about, which sux cuz i bouth a new 3.0 AFM in thelast year instead of upping it to the supra.... coulda had more power for the same price.

Scott I don't recall when you asked, but I have one of these AFMs in my truck that Jeff Moskovitz swapped the RTE traceboard into. Not sure what sort of gains it made since the truck is not running and a lot of other changes were made at the same time.

Yes,82 Supra & just bolt-on plug-in and bought it for $20 at the Auto Recyclers.

When I changed AFM's I noticed that my throttle would take in more air.Also take notice I swapped the battery location.
I dont race it but It accelerates quicker on the low to mid revs.But the best part that its running smooth on the idle to WOT and it is a simple bolt & plug-in modification.I just check the gas mileage and I'm getting 19 MPG.
