First Thanks if you help me out.
I recently bought a 94 sr5 v6 auto. I was lookin for a manual but got a pretty good deal on it.(140K miles for $5000)Anyways I want to know if its possible to convert it to manual trans.I have heard that the manuals get a little better gas mileage to. I am pretty good with tools me and my friend have re-built his trans in his F-350(pain in the but)but never anything this complicated. Im shure i could find a manual trans needing to be rebuilt for a pretty good price.

thanks
Andrew

Body Damage is Cool
i just did the swap its all bolt on. however you will need the master and slave clylinder along with the metal and rubber lines. the front drive shaft on the 5 speed is shorter so you may have to use it unless you have a large lift. wiring was the hardest part you will have to re work the 4x4 light and reverse lights. as for gas mileage i only get about 1to 2 mpg better with the 5 speed but i rev the piss out of it becuase of 35's and 5.29's it was worth it to me becuase my tranny died and i had no other option. if you auto i still good just keep it but the 5 speed is much nicer just hell in NY traffic
