I sent an e-mail asking about their (High-Tech's) tires a few days ago; I got the response today. Here's the question I asked: I've been thinking about replacing the tires on my truck with a set of Green Diamond tires and I like the stuff I see on your site. One question, though: if I order a set of 265/75/16s from your site, how do I know that they'll all say the same thing on the sidewall? I know it sounds dumb, but I would like them all to be the same type of tire so that the sidewalls all say the same thing. Is there any assurance that they will all be the same?
And their response: dear Jon,
Thank you for your e-mail, generally the tires we send out will be matching sets. However to make sure you may request that this be put on your invoice. In this size tire they are generally Michelin casings. To give you a price including shipping and handling I will need three things. Tire size, tread design, and your zip code.
A little general information: we use a full grade truck rubber on all our tires. Our truck rubber contains 15 to 20 percent natural rubber, which will disperse heat better,it's more cut resistant, and gives better adhesion to the tire.
We computer build and balance all tires.
Tires are available with green diamonds, making them the ultimate all weather tire. Green diamonds are small carbide particles that we systematically blend throughout the tread rubber. This gives you traction similar to a studded tire, but with No noise and No seasonal restriction. The tires maintain their traction and ability for the life of the tread. This means you get superb traction on dry, wet, snowy, or icy roads. They can be run in all 50 states year around.
Tires come with a two-year or 24,000 mile workmanship and material warranty, excluding off-road.
We except MasterCard, Visa card, Discover card, and money orders. Our toll-free number is 1-877-439-0759 M-f 8 to 5. Alternate number 1-605-662-5145 P.O. BOX 763 Edgemont, S D 57735
I may still go for it, though the Kumho Ventures aren't a whole lot more and are brand new tires.

Not to sound like the typical off roader, but, them tires is too little. Just poking around in this thread again. To address the above, follow the link to Hi-Tech. They have 33's and 35's for ~$75 and ~$90 respectively (non-green diamond rubber) and ~$93 and ~$110 for GD tires. Not too shabby for rubber in that size. Michael

... and as much as I'd like to have 35s on my truck, I already had to do more trimming than I wanted to do to fit the 265s. And the shot to my MPG would be a killer, too.
Anyway, I think I've decided that I'm getting some of these soon. I'll post up when I get them mounted and installed. Probably get some pics, too...
