4x4, v6, 160k, mechanically it needs a rear control arm, rear axle shaft, rear backing plate, and muffler. (It has a Taco non abs shaft in there now but needs a ABS 4runner shaft)

Visually, the worst side can be viewed at:

http://www.mikeharan.net/images/4runner.JPG

It hit a telephone pole. Frame is fine. Other side just has dings/dents all around. Worst is pictured. Front needs everything below the headlights replaced except for grill from hitting mailboxes. Interior is consistent with missing a window since February.

It had a salvage title. According to the owner, It was totaled for 12k and the buyback was $980. Weird.

Might part it out and keep the engine for my 88.

Or Truggy it.

its an option, but right now money is more of a deciding factor. If i can sell it for a good amount, thats more to go towards a trailer and finish my 1st gen. If i part it out, its engine is going in that.

besides...I had an 85 frame ready for a frame up buggy next.

If you part it let me know. I'm up in MD now and I'm interested in some parts.

$1k is pretty cheap, but its hard to sell small parts and a PITA. If the bumpers, headlights, and seats are good...you have a good chance at breaking even. BTW, I paid $1500 for a '97 engine...so thats a good chunk their, but you say you'll keep it.

I need a coolant overflow tank and all the wiring infront of the radiator <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

I'd be interested in some of the parts if you were to get it. Mainly the stock airbox, clock, and several of the lights...

It wouldn't happen to have a locking rear diff would it?

Rick

As soon as the title shows up, I'm probably just going to resell it as whole. I could use a trailer more than an engine right now.
