Maybe you guys would know whats wrong with the existing cluster:
As soon as the key is turned on, the tach needle immediately jumps to aprox 3400 rpms. When the truck is started, it raises about 750rpm at idle, and revs normally from there, other than being 3400 rpms too high. The needle corresponds correctly with the engine rpm, but +3400rpms. So as im cruising down the highway in 5th gear at 65mph, the tach is reading about 6500. Its as if "zero rpms" on the tach was somehow set to 3400.
