Need a Spot
I had my A/T Temp light come on in my '89 Montero. The dealer says it is a bad sensor. Can anyone tell me where the sensor is located and how difficult it is to replace? I've looked at chilton's and haynes manuals and none of them make mention of a A/T Temp sensor.

Thanks

1989 Montero V6 Automatic. All stock in immaculate condition. New comer to the scene and want to learn more!!

Body Damage is Cool
It's in the trans cooler line fitting on the right side of the trans. It will have a one wire connector plugged to it. Make sure to swap them when they are cold as the exaust is right there. Also have some fresh trans fluid to top up the trans with as you will loose some when swapping the sensor.
