my advice is to find a large salvage company with several yards all over the country...
i got mine from some company in NY, diffs were within the company from NE, save on shipping, avoid northeast parts.

just make sure they count the teeth, and make sure they are a front and a rear! you'd be surprised how stupid people are..

i need two rears. been looking around and it seems that the 4.88's pull a price premium. im half tempted to use the 4.30 rears i have but it is such a slight difference. i think i may have to look into 4.56's. since i have the cam rockers header and soon a crab err...carb, maybe it will pull my truck sufficiently. btw if i do that and someone needs 4.30's i will have two rears and 1 ifs front for sale.


87 4runner 33" bfg mt's no lift. dubbed the marine by my frinds. dead as of august 14 2005. 84 ex cab p/u 33"a/t, 3" suspension+3"bodylift, thorley header and 2.25xhaust, downey midrange cam+rocker set, very milled head! NO RUST!

4.30 is a waste of time especially with 33s. Just get some new gears from a place like:
www.performanceoffroadcenter.com
and then have someone install them for you. Probably the cheepest solution all around.

i guess i might consider this as well. i just have to weigh out all the price differences. i got christmas and my friends wedding coming so finances are hard to come by. i could make it through like this but im just trying to pull something off.
