Hey all,

Anyone up to snuff on the heating system? At max heat ( No AC system ) I get hot air beside the console on the driver's side and cold air beside the console on the passenger side..

Are there 2 heating elements and one is burnt out? is it easy to replace? Re-circulating air wamrs thing a bit but still a noticable temperature differential side to side.

Thanks !

Just one heater core that takes hot anti-freeze from the engine and blows a fan over it. Do you have the fan on outside air or circulating?

could it be that littel switrch unique ot monteros? There is a little lever on the vents that allows you to allow air from outside to that one vent and not the other. Ill be one is set to open and the other to internal.

If nothing else works, remove the side pannels at your feet and see if you have a rust thru holes there. I had one in my D50 and my wife complained about cold air.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll have a closer look. It is on outside air where it is most noticable. I thought i had both vents switched to fan/ air combo as it seems to flow more but I'll double check.
