1) Cliffhanger is very appropriately named.

[Linked Image]

2) Bring a pair of swim trunks if you decide to lose your license plate in a bathtub.

[Linked Image]

3) Corbin will find the largest rock he can on the flattest road possible. And break on it. And Aaron will come fix it.

[Linked Image]

4) Fernando knows how to defy gravity.

[Linked Image]

5) The factory owner's manual of a Jeep Rubicon Unlimited gives you step-by-step directions on how to override the clutch safety switch.

[Linked Image]

6) If you feel nervous when you get tippy, do not let Corbin and Aaron know. Or touch your truck. While you're in it.

[Linked Image]

7) Aaron needs beadlocks.

[Linked Image]

8) Corbin's driving style is not helping his marriage.

[Linked Image]

9) The best way to tackle the Z-turn on Moab Rim in an XJ is with a modified 27-point turn. But when you pull it off, onlookers will be moved to tears.

[Linked Image]

10) Aaron takes non-standard lines.

OK, so there's a lot more I learned as well. Like, the Rodeo will do 75mph on cruise control comfortably. Or that driving a rig in the Ultimate Adventure gets you free tire repairs at tire shops in Moab. That hikers on Moab Rim, on watching someone almost roll their rig, will stand by dumbfounded as everyone races up - not to help, but to take pictures.

But mostly, it re-cemented what I already know: that this is the BEST group of people out there to wheel with.

Nice... looks like yall had alot of fun. That first picture of the cliff is sick. I hope to be based outta Boulder by next year. Looks like a nice group of folks to wheel with.

Any breakages or rig injuries to speak of?

Boulder, CO? It's where I work.

There were no injuries, and as far as I know on breakages:

Corbin pulled apart his driveshaft on the picture above.
Aaron popped a bead on Cliffhanger.
Aaron popped a bead on Moab Rim.
I lost my license plate in a very deep, very wet, very cold bathtub.
I rebalanced my front driveshaft using the abrasive properties of my transmission crossmember.
Aaron scratched Travis' bumper by driving into it.
Molly had auto tranny shifting problems.

I thought I was going to break something on the shelf coming out of Cliffhanger (which I might have done. My whole driveline has shifted back a little). There were more than a few times that we thought people would roll, especially Corbin's picture above. We really thought that Corbin was setting up Julie to roll on the Z-turn on Moab Rim, in that it's probably the first time someone has approached that obstacle by backing up onto it first, then pulling up onto the second shelf from far left. Beyond all that, it was an uneventful trip in terms of breakages. What it was in terms of events was a great time.

We missed you, Randii.

Wish I coulda been there...wanted to, but the rig isn't ready...work schedule was not conducive...gas prices kinda high...blah blah blah.

But I'll be there for ZuZoo come May!

I've never run Moab Rim or Cliffhanger...hmmm

Well Jeff learned that the factory manual description isn't quite right...at least not on his truck. Something with the fuse slot not being correct.

One other thing, just my time to raze a little. Where Jeff is coming down in this picture...is the trail, and there is an optional obsticle(only because the trail isn't tough here) coming back up, Jeff chose to bypass this so, there is a tough optional route, the trail, and Jeff's easier route....I think a Geo Metro could have taken Jeff's line He took a line to the left of where he is in the pic.....at least it was all solid slickrock.

Had a good time, and want to second Sweaters setiments. Everyone is very freindly, even when us less built rigs tag along.

Steve

Sure, there's a chance. That ain't my department -- lately, I have specialized in s-l-o-w-l-y perfecting obscure electrical connections and artfully shrink-wrapping them to obfuscate later trouble-shooting requirements -- but you might suggest it here: Forum Problems, Questions, Suggestions

Man Dude, where's the love

here's what I learned.

1. Cliffhanger is probably rated a 4.0. trying to convince me to get on it is probably rated a 4.5.

2. That these guys will let anyone bring their stock junk and wheel it with them.

3. That receiving gifts in the form of DVD's from folks named Sweater might not be a good thing. They're blank Mike! Your killing me.

4. That Zak's still have good hot wings.

5. That the best menu in town is still the Moab Brewery.....yeah even the food is good

6. That a stock Rubicon Unlimted amongst the land of Isuzu Giants looks like a bloody low-rider. Heck I even looked small compared to Jonesy.

7. That I'll never stay at the Big Horn again. Everytime a tractor trailer came down the street it actually shock the room so bad the bed would move...........wait a minute that could have been my wife...........nope, it was the trucks.

8. That you can never catch up to an Isuzu on the highway that has a 60 minute head start on ya unless of course they have the highway closed up ahead moving an enormous house down it

9. To never by after market. Always build your own junk. the only part that I didn't build did not fit correctly and rubbed the paint right off of the front of my fender.

10. That it's always a pleasure and never a dull moment wheeling with this motly crew.

...............did I mention the blank CD?

Aw, crap.

I burned it on a DVD+R disc. There's still some problems between those formats, and we've found that the DVD-R's are a lot more compatible.

I will try to get that re-burnt on a DVD-R for you guys. In the meantime, try it in another drive (especially a Dell)...
