As stated above, the compression is supposed to be the same between the two engines. One difference between the 2 is that the C223T has a thicker oil control ring(I think it's the oil). When we rebuilt my dad's '86 the pistons in it were for a NA and the machine shop had to put them on the lathe to get the thicker ring to fit.
