Getting the Wheeling Fever
Does anyone now how they lowered the compression between the turbo and NA 223?

The bigger engines have different pistons for the NA and turbo versions.
I'd expect the same in the C223.

Tdamigo--

My '86 Isuzu P'up manual shows the compression ratio to be the same for both the C223 and the C223T at 21:1.

As stated above, the compression is supposed to be the same between the two engines. One difference between the 2 is that the C223T has a thicker oil control ring(I think it's the oil). When we rebuilt my dad's '86 the pistons in it were for a NA and the machine shop had to put them on the lathe to get the thicker ring to fit.

Body Damage is Cool
COMP RATIO FOR BOTH ENGS IS THE SAME , THE PISTONS ARE DIF, IN THE RING AREA AND THE WRIST PIN FOR THE TURBO IS IS A GOOD BIT LARGER , LATE 86 PISTONS, THEY CHANGED THE RING DESIGN AND THE RINGS WERE NOT INTERCHANGABLE BETWEEN THE TWO, THE REAR OF THE RING LAND WAS TAPERED ON THE LATER ONE AND SQUARE ON THE EARLY ONES AND THE RODS WERE MUCH BIGGER ON THE TURBO ENG EVEN ON THE EARLY ENGS , THE LATE RODS ARE MASSIVE COMPARED TO THEM JERRY.

Thanks,I have had both apart and noticed that the top face of the pistons are very simailer and so was the clearance at the block at the top of the stroke.Been waiting to here if I can get my oversized piston and rings(Not sounding good)
