I got to church on Sunday, so I would prefer Saturday.

Not that my vote counts since I never show up anyway

Hey Bill you still thinking about camping out there at Mineral Wells SP? When were you thinking about heading out there? Keep in mind that this park is not very close to where we wheel so once you leave make sure you pack everything with you.

Ok I see there is a question mark next to my name. I'm in for Saturday and even sunday if some want to stay over. Too bad there is currently a burn ban in the area otherwise we could grill out there. Fred knows the area better than anyone I know.

cool I'll have to ask my brother if he wants to stay over night as well. If he wants to, then we might want to as well. Can you camp out there right where we wheel??

Directions from the park would be great.

Bill you may want to get on the site for Texas Parks and Wildlife state parks. What you are looking for is Mineral Wells State Park and the old Fort Wolters Military Reservation (this is where we wheel). If you look at a map they neighbor each other, but there is no access that joins them. Disregard what I posted earlier, but I still wouldn't leave camp setup while you are away wheelin. I wouldn't know the answer to this, but I bet you wouldn't be the first to do it. I would think it would be ok as long as you keep the golden rule. Pack in what you pack out. or something like that.

Ok I would be willing to camp out there. I'm off from work from the 23rd - 27th, but I am oncall until friday. So I can leave as early as Friday after 5 PM. I'll have the roof rack loaded by 3 and the wife and son by 5. If bucket goes out there maybe he can have his buddy bring the margarita machine.
