Basically, for every 4.77 Trooper, there is a 10 bolt and a 12 bolt third. For every 4.77 Amigo, there is a 10 bolt and a D44(HD).

And just to emphasize the fact, there are not many 12-bolt 4.77's out there.

I thought there was a D44 4.77 set available. Something from a Geep application? Rubicon? XJ with the HD D44?

Michael

The only D44 4.77's are Isuzu OEM for the 98' HD D44 axle. I beleive they are the "thick" style gears, but the non-standard pinion diameter used in the 2nd gen axle makes it difficult to use in the standard D44 in the 1st gen Rodeo. Theoretically, they can be made to work, but it hasen't been done to my knowledge. These 4.77's R&P are available through Isuzu, but they're around $400 or so.

From what I understand, the Rubicon uses thick 4.88's.

From the DC website, the are running 4.10's. Maybe the earlier ones were running the 4.88's?

Actually, 98 and up, 4 cylinder automatic Rodeos also have 4.77s. But it has the weird pinion, and the housing comes with coil mounts, so they don't do you much good unless swapping into another second gen.
