I used a brass hammer and a pry bar behind the pulley. Cannot get good hits on the shaft but the small hits and the prying popped it off.

goto autozone and get the rental tool. it will save you tons of time. or just bring in in there and do it there on there table vise like i always do


On the V-6, you cannot get the pump off with out taking the pulley off unless you want to sawzall the shouldered bolt off. Those bolts are not cheap and it is a dealer item.
