I just cut right into the rubber of the bushing on which ever side is most accessible. its just a little wider than the width of the blade. come in from the top, you have to man handle the sawzall because you cant let the foot on the saw rest on anything, but once you get through that bushing its smooth sailing. If your still not sure i can email a picture tomorrow, dig camera is home but all cables are at the office...
