I didn't know the Japanese do that like the Chinese. In China they have "free" bicycles of a certain color. Take it, ride it, leave it for the next guy.

They do that in Toronto (Canada) as well, they're the yellow bikes...

The key thing is pretty common to all car manufactures.....if you do the math, there are only a few thousand combinations for each shape key (i.e the side grooves). And, probably only a half dozen key shapes per manfacturer.....So that's like 15-or-so-thousand possibly key combinations for a manufacturer that sells around....I dunno...a few hundred thousand cars a year.

On a lighter note....

I had an old honda when I was in high school that the ignition switch wore out on. Since I could double the value of the car just by putting gas in it, I didn't bother buying another ignition switch.....my dad rigged it up with a toggle switch and a push button. Took my friends only a day or so to figure it out. They would take turns hiding my car in the school parking lot.

....The drivers side window was missing too....funny thing was, despite my brother and I leaving it parked all over Boston and NYC, the car never got stolen.....and it certainly wasn't for lack of trying to have it stolen.

'93 4Runner - 3.4L 5VZ-FE, 2" body lift, on-board-air system, custom gauge cluster, rear e-locker, electric fan, custom built front and rear bumpers, sliders, 4,88 gears...all on 33x12.5's.
