Are you on-road or off-road while doing this? Going straight or turning? The 4WD systyems on our trucks does not have a center differential to allow the front and rear driveshafts to turn at different speeds... and therefore should not be used on high-traction surfaces such as pavement. Even if you are on a lower-traction surface, you can experience some binding with the wheels turned if you are not giving it gas.
