You know.......if the coils where a little higher poundage rating....like 250 or so.....I could, just for grins....cut the entire rear of the spring pack off and the coil would 100% support the "up-down direction" cause that's all that coil springs do.(Leaf packs generally support in all 3 directions.) Well with the rear 5 leafs cut off, the front half of the leafpack would now act as control arms. It would be drivable but it would also still need a panhard. A panhard(which is basically another "control arm" in the same direction as the axle length) would not be very hard to make. Now that would be wierd looking...but very functional.

Seems like you're getting pretty close to that 4-link i was wondering about eh ZUK? I really like this idea and am extremely tempted to go outside and lie under my truck planning it out....but it's raining , and think it could be very efficient in the articulation department . I think instead of a panhard running parallel to the rear axel, i'd used two links from the top of the diff on either side of your spring, running forward and mounting just ahead of the rear spring perches.......just another idea. I think a rear swaybar would need to be added.........but only for on the road .
