Good news! Thanks!

Tell you what...I'm only doing this once.

I'm about to order a u-bolt flip kit for the rear. I have it flipped now, but the plates are some I scabbed off of an S-10. As I have to take it apart to remove the block, and you ain't supposed to re-use ubolts, I'll weld a dooma-hicky on the plate for coil retention, and post some pics when it's done.

Adam, go ahead and get some front TJ coils. This should be uber-easy...

I just thought I might chime in here once again. It's been almost three weeks since ZUK put my springs in for me and I'm still happy as a clam. No settling on the springs yet and even with a full load of tools and a bunch of ply out the back I still haven't dropped the truck all the way back down to the overloads.

It seems that every time I pull into a hardware store or lumberyard I get someone asking about the lift.

thanks for chiming in Kona! Sorry for the attention you're getting

The previous 3 pic's are mine, I'm not very handy with the copy & paste thing. If I tried to ad text the pic wouldn't come out, and I wasn't sure how to get them all in one post.

The 1st and third are before and after, the 2nd one is when I had to expand the leafpack about an inch to get the coil in there.

In the before pic the rim to fender well measurement is 16.50". In the after pic the rim to well measurement is 18.25", giving me a lift of 1.75" which is IDEAL (you da man Zuk) as I was hoping for something between 1.5" & 2".

The entire proceedure went well and was just as described, took me about 4.5 hours (I'm 59 and move kind of slow)

Haven't driven it yet, waiting for the pain pill to kick in. but I don't have any reason to believe it's not going to ride much better than before, when I bounced the bed it was softer than just the spring.

What springs did you use? Are those blocks under the springs welded together?

Yep...the height on Geriatric was about 4" higher than stock dimensions....so I fabbed up two 2 inch blocks for each side. The blocks are welded but not "excessively" such that a block could be removed. I can post a pic later of what the entire assembly looks like......unless Chris beats me to it.

Looks nice Chris! Any install issues? PITA trying to squeeze them in there or did the jack on the leafs work good? ZUK

ps---pretty good for a 59 year old I'm a tender 49....still.

ya....you might notice a better ride....less inter-leaf sliding resistance. Your leafs will likely never sag....get back to me in 10 years

The entire process was straight forward, the jack on the leafpack was easy, but I'd suggest anyone doing it use caution because of the angled surfaces your working with.

It also had the extra side effect of leveling the rear of the truck, those AllPro's weren't wearing evenly and it was listing to port a little.

I forgot to take a pic of the coils before I installed them Zuk, so you can post up the pic's if you please. Btw, I'm Fred
