Suddenly I find myself very unhappy with my two week old shackles. This is a beautiful idea. Zuk deserves some kind of royalty fee. I am going to do the TJ springs. The local 4x shop is doing a lift on a TJ in about a week so I can get the springs. I am estatic Well then, you better be real careful at the gas pump.....the smallest spark could cause bad things to happen. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Great idea Zuk!
But, I'm afraid I'd pull the coils out while wheeling. I have 63" Chevies, which droop pretty good. But I could use these coils, I have some saggy butt myself, and could use the extra load carrying capacity.
What do you think? Would they pop out?

Ya....they would pop out being flexed offroad....I have a design that won't drop out because the coil is captured on both ends. More pics will be posted of this "upgrade" later on this link. Putting the TJ coils and similar ones under there is actually kinda cool....keep it on the road. The leafs will be relieved of alot of load and it will ride much better off the springboard. Payload ability goes up of course. Just have to figure a way to capture the TJ coils and no more worries.

Adam, I messed around with that today, you and I have the same setup. With the rear drooped all the way down I'd still have to use a compressor to get the TJ front springs in. So I don't think they'll pop out. I'm gonna rig up some kind of mount to go on top of the u bolt plate...
If Mad Max had a 4runner...

I just thought I might chime in here once again. It's been almost three weeks since ZUK put my springs in for me and I'm still happy as a clam. No settling on the springs yet and even with a full load of tools and a bunch of ply out the back I still haven't dropped the truck all the way back down to the overloads.
It seems that every time I pull into a hardware store or lumberyard I get someone asking about the lift.
