hey ZUK, how much would you want for just your lower coil mounts? this would be for people who want to do the TJ coils but dont like the bumpstop idea or have cracked/missing bumpstops. the bottom of the TJ coils fit perfectly over 2" square tube (im not sure what size you are using in yours: 2.5" square?)

ok...I took some notes and I can make a pair of lower mounts that will work great....they will not be self capture because you say they seem to stay in place. It also probably means a coil compressor is not needed because the coil does not get lifted up and over the tall rubber bump stops. How about $60 to cover materials and shipping in the 48 states? But you must post pics of how it went.

just an idea but it would be cool if you could combine them with a U-bolt flip kit that captures the spring. Might make for a really decient off-road/DD option for gen 1 runners and some trucks.

My gut feeling says the "Napo coil" will about work for you(see pic below)....

I'm sure you went over this earlier in this thread, but it's gotten to big to re-read casually. What is a Napco coil? -- Matt

Happy New Year Matt-
I'm calling this the Napo coil....a TJ coil slapped over the rubber snubber. It don't get any cheaper and easier than this smile The pic above with my black painted mounts allows the TJ coil a better fit. I can self-capture the bottom mount if needed too.

OK.....I trimmed the corners and the lower mount will slip right in the middle of a "flip-over".....a bolt can secure it at each end(see the 5/16" drilled holes)

Keeping the thread alive! My truck was "ZUKified" again today. Here's a before pic with my sagging "custom" leaf springs, part Toyota, part Mazda. Soft, and any weight in the rear, spare tire, tools, hi-lift, camp gear etc. throws the rear end down. Notice the springs almost reversed arched sitting static.

[Linked Image]

Here's ZUK under my truck (again) <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

[Linked Image]

After 4 hours. My u-bolt flip plates needed "un-modified", to re-modify for the spring captures.

[Linked Image]

Nice arch, 2" lift, super-smooth ride, like stock new, and I noticed alot less body roll in the corners.

This Sunday is a Crown King trail ride here, so we'll see how they do on a 3 1/2 trail. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Keep you posted and I'll check back later.
