were you really sagging in the rear w/ your pickup? mine sits a little higher in the back and its stock.

The key here is to get the lowest overload leaf off the rest of the spring pack. If your leaves are off the lowest one, you are probably OK. My 4Runner feels more like a caddy after this little inexpensive "mod". Your truck will have a "sprinboard" affect when resting on the overload. You may not even know it because it takes so long for the springs to act up like this. Not an overnite difference with the ride for sure, until the mod is complete at least. The difference is night and day!

I knew you would like the ride Kyle!
We also discovered a propagating crack at the point where the crunched spot near the left front IFS frame (apparently from a car collision) so I cleaned and MIG'd it up.....good for another couple years.....until the SAS comes

After looking at Kyles left rear spring pack, I could not come to any good conclusion why that side would suddenly fatigue...granted, the packs are 20 years old...in any event, the coils did the trick.
Kyle, if you get a chance, get a couple pics of your dad's Chevy packs....especially the area where the dual coils would go.....and the inches from center of pack to underside of frame. thanks ZUK

I'm all out of red coils now

you might want to think about Balljoint spacers before you rake the torsion Bars.

Karl, do you have the ball joint spacers installed? I have some problems with the front of the frame where ZUK helped me out with a little mig welding on a crack, where it was crunched by the PO. So my driver side cams are adjusted ALL the way out, where did you have to adjust yours, if ya got 'em that is. Anyone else feel free to chime in

Yeah, me and ZUK tried to figure it out but to no avail, I was ~1.5 inches or something off on the driver side but thats all fixed now!

Def will ZUK, not sure if he'd want to anytime soon, but I'll take lots of pics so you can see how "the general" likes to build their trucks....hopefully it's not spring under, that could make it interesting he wouldn't want any sort of lift, just something to help the truck sit level with that popup trailer on Thanks again ZUK! my next problem is what to do about that front end.....

I just want to thank you guys for posting this. Very cool. A few bucks for some TJ springs & 3 hours time I made a great improvement to my ride. Great idea!

Did mine today. Got about 2 inches. Might be a little too high. I'm going to try and crank my front bars up. I think I read somewhere on how to do it but could not find it.

Do I need to get new bolts and nuts since the old ones strip out? If anyone has and help on cranking the front bars I'd appreciate it.
I replaced the ADD hubs with manual hubs way back so my CV joints won't be turning all the time....

Nice. So simple yet so effective
Jack the front end up so most of the weight is off the tires.....shoot the threads with a WD40 lube....should turn alot easier. 10 turns will give 1.5" lift about.

did you use the entire rear TJ coil? it looks like you did. did you just kinda 'screw' it onto the upper mount?
