Yea, it does. It's not like night and day, but there is a definite difference. Theres no sense in starting with a weak ESC. I made that mistake the first time I set one up. Go with something better. You'll thank me later!

Maybe do a search on RCC and see if anyone else is using one, and go from there.

Which is better a older Novak EVX or the Associated??? I'm able to trade my RC18T with a bad motor, for:

clodmodracing..
motor mounts
servo mounts
shock mounts(for the links)
All new plus one of the esc's

and there all coming from the owner of clod mod racing.

How would it be running a separate battery for the servo's?

EVX has a 6v 1.5 amp bec, which is just barely enough to power 2 servos. But some people complain they are glitchy. And you have to modify it to run off a single 7.2v battery, since you really dont want to run 2 batteries.

Running another battery for servos is a pain. having to charge a 2nd battery sucks, and it takes a lot longer to charge a small battery pack like that since the AA cells wont take a fast charge like the bigger stick packs. Plus its more weight to deal with.

So you were talking about those HiLux bodies being worth something. Would this be worth anything? I drilled holes in it years ago to fit other RC chassis...

Nope. Aint worth a damn thing. If you want, I'll give you $5 for it.

Seriously though, yes, its worth something. Looking on ebay, they have been going for $100-$250. (I thought they were more)

I got the shocks mounted now. I also put on my 1/8 buggy shocks in the rear. There about 1/2" longer then the tmaxx shocks.

Mudrunner
i've been looking around in a lot of diffferent stores and i have read many of these posts. I really want to get one, but i want to get the best rc for my buck . I have used the "Scorpion" which my friend walmart purchased and its a pretty sweet setup. Is this generally regarded as the best one for how inexpensive it is?
any and all info would be awsome!

Yea, nothing else can touch the Nylints for what they cost.

BUT, they still cant hold a candle to what a clod can do.
