I know this topic has been discussed before but I can't seem to find exactly what I am looking for. I have an '02 3.4L 4x4 dbl-cab TRD and need to know how to get the rotors off. The pads just slide out and I've got the calipers off, but I can't get the rotors off. Are they pressed into the hub, corroded in, or ??? Anyboby have any info to pass along? Thanks.

On 4WDs, once the calipers are off, there are no other retainers (well except for the rust).

Fortunately I haven't needed brakes yet, because I don't know what's the best way to get them free.

This happened after I starting running black faux beadlocks. The mounting surface creates a pocket where water is trapped around the wheel stud holes. (That's my theory anyway <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />)

Like Mark said, they're probably somewhat rusted in place. Take a punch and a hammer and carefully tap them from the back outwards. That's how Chris K (www.trdparts4u.com) helped me get mine out when one on of them was stuck on there.

I doubt that I'll have enough restraint to 'tap' once I get everything off <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" />, but it's worth a shot. Thanks for the tip <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
