Body Damage is Cool
well when it snowed hear a few times there was both snow and ice on the road. usually ice under the snow but i was all over the place in 2wd. the thing about mud terrains is that they dont have any siping and dont grip well in those kind of conditions. you could sipe your tires w/ a hot knife to get some better traction. there are a few writeups about it but i cant find them right now.

I just got me some Bridgestone Duller REVOS!

I hear they are great in the snow! I sure hope so!

But I had regular dullers last winter, they wern't half bad. Had BFG AT's year before that, wern't half-bad either.

By the looks of it, these REVOS are gonna rock the socks off of those!

Americas Tire/Discount Tire co. Does it for $10 bucks a tire. Well worth it if you ask me! REALLY helps out in the Ice!

DIY Tire siping - either the heated knife or a sharp utility knife will do the trick!

well, i think that those 33's will be quite a bit worse than the 31's. i know that you want thin pizza cutters driving in the snow, on the road, anyway. im kinda bummed to hear that the 31" bfg muds did not do well in the snow. I just bought four new 32"bfg muds to put on my toyota for the winter. i was all excited thinking that they would be a good tread pattern for the snow.

It's ok, i'm there with you on 32 mud. got first 3"-4" snow here today & i was definetely sliding way more than the Bridgestone Blizzard... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />

my pressure reads around 28psi a bit below freezing, i wonder if i should lower some for more ctrl...

Need a Spot
I will be getting these (31X10.50R15LT)in the next few weeks as my dedicated snow tires .. and get them studded also. Its hard to find affordable snow tires (not overpriced nokians) in large tire sizes. These should suite me just excellent.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I know I need some type of limited slip rear diff. With my old tires (worn BFG all-terrains from PO) the rears would spin on wet pavement.
It has helped putting new tires on but it will still do it from time to time. I wiil see how they are in the deeper stuff and look in to that siping.
