I'm in the middle of the same job and the sensor is frozen in the old high pressure hose - does anyone know where i can get one?

Don't know about where you can get one, but I bought a big honkin vice (for me at least) to rebuild the power steering pump. I just put the hose in the vice and I was able to twist the sensor off. Good luck.

Can you cut/grind the old hose enough to loosen the the sensor? If you cut a groove in the outer threaded part not quite down to the threads and smack the groove with a wider chisel, it will often 'spring' the outer threaded piece apart, freeing up the inner threaded part.

good idea - I can try that...

the sensor itself has a cracked cover so I'm still checking around for a replacement. I can fix the cover if I need to.

I have it soaking with penetrating oil on the inside and I'm going to torch it over the weekend -if that all fails I'll start grinding. It threads into a piece of square stock and grinding one side off might work - hard to get a hacksaw in place since the body of the sensor is in the way. Now if I had a milling machine...

Hi, I'm having the same problem w/ a stuck sensor in the old power steering pressure hose. Were you able to find a replacement sensor.

My local Kragen can't find the part in the computer. I managed to break the wires leading out of the sensor while loosening the lower fitting on the hose, so I'm gonna need a new one either way.
Any info or advice would be hugely appreciated.
