my truck is at 212,000 miles, the previouse owner has the top end done, valve, head, timing belts about 11,000 miles ago but the bottom block has not been done yet, it has some rust on it so I think I need to replace that since that is the cause of the head gasket problem, I heard toyota already ended the campaign last year so guess I'm tolate for that... so how much if I be replacing the block? include labor, so I need a block that will replace the one they recall the HG.. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Are you SURE that your Headgasket is blown?
Sure it isn't your valvecovers?

And if your going to replace the engine, swap in a 3.4!
3.0:
150 HP
180 lbs of torque

3.4:
190HP
220 lbs of torque

And you can get a 3.4 for a little more then a 3.0
Takes a *little* more time, but hey, if your gonna get a new engine, might as well get a bigger and better one while your at it!
