Main difference is the angle capacity of the CV joint, otherwise I think they are similar as far as the slip yokes go. You can have a new slip yoke installed, one with more travel than the stock part. I had a local driveline shop re-do mine with 6-7" slip part. Or places like AllPro sell long travel slip kits.
